Expert Dietitian Helping You Manage Gut Issues and Feel Your Best Every Day

So you are probably here because you want to know what to eat to reduce your gut issues, well that’s great because you are in the right place, I can certainly help you with that!

Not only as a registered Dietitian but also from a personal perspective, I have struggled with gut issues all of my life.

My ‘dodgy tum’ was always just a part of me, I was always on the look out for the nearest toilet and the first to catch any sick bugs that were doing the rounds.

On holidays I would usually spend at least one day confined to my room, with my ‘travellers tummy’, reading my book whilst my friends or family were out having fun.  I didn’t want to be out and about needing to rush to the nearest toilet and not knowing where it was.

But, as I entered my mid forties, things began to change. At times my overactive ‘dodgy tum’ has been replaced by one that grinds to a halt. The body that I knew so well for so long was completely different. Things finally came to a head when I was on holiday and I realised how important managing my gut problems on a daily basis was.

I was looking forward to relaxing and making memories with my daughter. Despite my best efforts and turning to ALL the things I advise my clients; drinking enough, upping my fibre and walking laps around the ship nothing was helping.

My stomach was swelling, getting bigger with each passing day and then the indigestion started. Many of the lovely new clothes I had bought specially for my cruise grew tighter, eventually becoming unwearable. I felt so uncomfortable and self conscious. I missed out on spending time with my daughter and was utterly miserable.

It was then that I truly understood what so many of my clients had been experiencing and looking after my own gut health was something I needed to do not just when things got uncomfortable but everyday so that I didn’t end up like I was on that cruise.  I have made small sustainable changes to my diet each day and am feeling more comfortable than I have done for a long time.
